We brought our 2003 saturn to Boyd Autobody in Maple Ridge (Dewdney Trunk Road) for a simple express windshield glass claim. Everything seemed good until we were driving downtown in the rain and our wind shield wiper flung 180 degrees and was stuck against the hood of the car. We called a tow truck and found out that the windshield bracket had been broken off and fixed using a single screw and urethane. The exact same urethane used to hold the windshield to the car. I confirmed it by going to 4 other glass shops and they ALL say that is what it looks like. So we brought it back to boyd and they denied it all. Saying they would never do that! We have owned the car from new bought from saturn and there has been no front end damage. 3 out of the 4 other glasses shops we went to say that it not uncommon that this piece could break if you use the wrong tools to remove the windshield wiper.
Regardless I would never bring my vehicle to this place again. thank god it was only a wiper assembly i have to replace, hopefully less than 500 bucks, but could you imagine what else they cover up and hide from their customers. I acutally asked him if could give me one possible story that he could think of that could have happened to even amuse the possibility that they didn't do it and he said he couldn't. But he still denies it all!
If you read this and you still go there don't say I didn't warn you.
