Great selection of schnitzels

Excellent atmosphere for schnitzels. Lots of variety including cordon bleu, various Hungarian styles and Viennese styles. Very enjoyable if your waistline can handle it.

A must-dine spot in Downtown Hamilton

As a first generation Canadian with two parents from Germany, I grew up going to the Black Forest Inn. It's always been a family favourite. Both my sister and I have also swayed her French Canadian husband and my Scottish descendant husband to the love of German cuisine!

Whenever I am visiting family in Hamilton, it would not be complete without a visit to the Black Forest Inn! I try different schnitzels each time and am never disappointed. The portion sizes are very generous, in fact I have never had room for dessert. Although, they looks marvelous. Perhaps next time I will take a portion home in order... more

The portions are large. I always love the Black Forest Plate. It has a variety of schnitzel, ham sausage, potatoes, warm sauerkraut. It is what I expect for a German restaurant.
