Do not do business with this company!!!

I would strongly recommend not dealing with this company. Roger talks big, but can't deliver on it.

We purchased a headlight from them over the phone. Roger assured me that the lens would not be yellow and look very good after he was done with it, and before he sold it. I gave him more than 24 hours notice (as per his instructions) that I had made arrangements to have someone come by to pick it up for me, and again he assured me the part would be ready and waiting and in very good condition.

The next day at pick up time, Roger had apparently "forgotten", but would go out and quickly get one while the person waited. The lens was indeed "yellowed", but there wasn't time for him to deal with that under time constraints so it was purchased any way. When we went to install it, the headlight bracket was BROKEN! It can not be installed as that is one of only two points that holds it in. I notified Roger by phone right away. He asked me to email pictures to him, so that he could come up with a resolution. I did as he asked, and for 2 1/2 weeks, was given the runaround (busy with a customer, not in the office, haven't had time to look into it, got to get to the other line, and so on) each time I have tried to phone him, even though he assured me each time he was going find a resolution ... and get back to me. I even tried to email again, but got no response.

Today I phoned again, and finally spoke with him. Now he tells me I need to make arrangements to get it back to him. He can't invest any money into shipping a new one out if he hasn't seen it in person, nor can he pay to have it shipped to him, after all "this is a business to make money, and that could be a job costing decision for him"! He needs to see it in person, so that he knows WHO broke it, and then discuss it with the owner as to whether they will give me another one, let alone consider refunding my money. Oh did I mention I can't speak with the owner personally, because he is apparently rarely there? Yet I am supposed to believe this will miraculously be apparent as to who broke this moulded mounting bracket, "because this is Roger's profession, and so he can tell these things", and the owner will coincidently be present that day, and this will all get satisfactorily resolved? Did I mentionI have to drive 3 1/2 hours to get there, and then hope that all these pieces come together for this to be resolved? Are you kidding me?!

Roger pretty much summed it up, in not so many words, (before dismissing me because he is very busy and needed to get to the other phone line) as I went hugely out of my way, paid an exuberant amount of money for a piece of c@!p item that I can not use, just so I can go though weeks of trying to talk to him to get an adequate part (or my money returned), and all this is just for pure enjoyment (on my behalf) and because I have nothing better do with my time!?

I would say if anybody is desperate enough to have to deal with this person, or the company he works for, they should be prepared for big promises, less than adequate returns, and a hugely negative experience. Pick-and-pull is definitely the way to go if this is the kind of "professionalism" auto wreckers hold their employees to! Consider yourself warned on doing business with these guys.
