A cross between a university and biker bar with plenty of Molson to go around. Located pretty much in the heart of Queen West, they have a large summer patio.

Fab Patio!

One of the best patios in the city as far as I'm concerned! Its excellent for people watching in the summer and the food and drinks are reasonably priced. Always full though so be sure to get there early!

Get here early!

This place is always rammed in the summer. Huge lineups but its worth the wait. Its the only patio I know of in the summer that is right on Queen. The people watching is excellent

In the summer, Torontonians are rolling up their sleeves and tanning their pasty selves on the most popular patio in town. Choose from over 20 different lagers, including 12 drafts and get ready from some prime people watching. Whether it's peering at the shoppers, those rowdy tattooed drunks or a tourist or two, its never boring. Inside, the bar has a pool table and gorgeous leather cushioned... more

Libation Legacy
Before the stretch of Queen Street West between University and Spadina became a hotbed for fashion, media and entertainment, there was the Black Bull. As a result, its corner patio offers some of the most coveted real estate during the warmer months of the year, consistently filled with 175 weather-worshipping revelers. The indoor bar has the authenticity of a biker bar, with... more

waitresses please acknowledge this:

do not keep change thinking that it's your tip. we decide after receiving the change, what you get. otherwise, it's called stealing.

now you know why service means everything or in this case at the black hoof, nothing.

Absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced. We ordered drinks and once we got them we didn't see our server again. After 40 minutes I had to ask another server for our bill. When our server finally appeared we asked for our bill and he took another 10 minutes to bring it to our table and then to get the debit machine. I have never experience such poor service and we won't be back.

Lovely patio however service was crazy slow. We literally waited 30 minutes before the waitress came around with the debit/credit machine after giving us the bill. It wasn't crazy busy so that's no excuse.

Queen Street West’s most famous patio sits outside a legendary watering hole.
