A tidy bistro on main-street Sidney where veteran chef Lucien Frauenfelder keeps it old-school-Swiss with kirsch-spiked cheese fondues, raclette cheese with gherkins, and hearty plates of bratwurst, schnitzel, and roesti.

Stunningly mediocre

Kept waiting for nearly 1hr 15 mins, despite having pre - booked table for special event. On arrival, with minimal & inadequate explanation, food was nothing special. Edible, but then so is a Big Mac & that's a lot cheaper & quicker.
Won't recommend or return.

July 22, 2014The bistro suisse is a "must" in sidney, BC. The food is excellent and the decoration with all the swiss stuff is just amazing... I loved it!!!

Outstanding
July 21, 2014I was impressed...swiss traditions all over the walls, wonderfull decorations. The meals were delicious, i recommand the quiche or the rösti. My first time in vancouver island and really happy to find suche a nice place with outstanding atmosphere....!!!!
