Bistro Parisien is a quaint, polished restaurant in the historic section of James St S in the Durand Neighbourhood. The menu is dedicated to French Cuisine and it is done very well. There's a good selection of wine to accompany your meal and the atmosphere is one that encourages conversation and lingering over your meal. I found the prices a bit high for Hamilton but it's worth it if you want to treat yourself or a loved one to a special night.
My wife and I went on a Monday, there was a steak & frites special. I ordered it, it was great. My wife ordered the fish of the day from the table d'hote, she enjoyed it. Quiet atmosphere, waiter was French (and great). Prices were reasonable for a nice restaurant in downtown Hamilton.
The website items/prices are apparently 5+ years old. Some of the entree items are $5+ more in the restaurant than what the website shows! That was quite a surprise when we got there.
