I love the fact that everything in Biscuit General Store feels as though it has been lovingly hand-picked: from the cute and kitschy retro decor, to the hipster fashions, and quirky, original accessories and gifts.
The staff are friendly, cool, and knowledgeable, and owner Wendy Friedman has done an excellent job of creating a one-of-a-kind local boutique with staying power.
It's tough to find decent & trendy men's clothes in Halifax - but you can usually find some decent threads at Biscuit.
I've bought some Ben Sherman, Penguin and Bench gear from these guys before - not a massive selection, but what they do get is usually good quality and the latest lines. They are also locally owned and independent so it feels good supporting these guys.
I have traveled to lots of cities all over the world, and I have to say
that Biscuit has the BEST selection of clothes and cute gift ideas that
I have ever found. Even when I was living in Montreal, I'd wait to come home
to Halifax to shop at Biscuit. You have to check it out.
