The existence of a DVD rental shop is an anomaly in our age of PVR, downloading, and streaming. This place bucks the trend, and in fact, is often crowded on a Friday night.

JR has made this place a DVD shop that sets the standard for independents. Great selection. Friendly service and staff. Good prices. Eclectic art. Good tunes. Dog friendly. The shop makes an effort to support local happenings and culture. Because of this, it feels very much a key component of what makes the Junction such a rad little 'hood.
When reviewing The Film Buff I mentioned that it was the only place this far out in central west Toronto that could compare to the indie video rental mainstays Suspect & Queen Video. That statement is not exactly true, if you go farther north to the Junction area of town there is a quaint little video rental shop called Big Daddy's DVD shop.
