Saw the Killers here. Kicked butt. Other than that on a normal night its pretty decent. Known for the after hour crowd. I dont love the food but who goes to a Beer Market to eat? They have zillions of beer selections. Any alchy's dream!
I love this place. The patio is amazing in the summer. Its ALWAYS packed on a Friday or Saturday night (sometimes a little too packed i'll give you that). The beer selection is like no other and the food is tasty! Love the esplande location much more than the King St Location.
I always have a really goof time at Bier Markt. I do believe that the one on Esplanade is more fun than the one on King however. It is just a better vibe and better location for me. The people are great that typically go there. More mature crowds, not too sloppy. Drinks are a bit expensive but not unreasonable. If you want to a have a good night out, definitely consider this place!
Beer connoisseurs liquor up at this lavish watering hole boasting a second new yet smaller location in the middle of all of those hip eateries on King. Difference is this one has a bit of more laid back vibe and no cover. Both venues have the same formula: encyclopaedic beer menus, a mix of high tops and booths and separate stage for live music (or cheesy cover band) on the weekend. Whatever,... more
The Brioche French Toast ($13) consisted of two sunny side up eggs, brioche french toast, grilled sausages, maple syrup, and house confiture. I thought the french toast could’ve been pan-fried for a bit longer since they were on the softer side. Look at those three fat and juicy sausages on the right. Lying so carefree on my breakfast plate, they were totally asking for it. With no time to... more
Lots of choices for beer, this is great happy hour and patio place. However, if you're expecting dinner here, be prepared to pay $$$Popular food choices include mussel at $21/lb and a $19 cobb salad. You can also get entrees for $30+ or flatbreads (good enough for one person really for $15 on average). beet and wine cost about $8 per glass/pint. We got a flight of 6 cheeses for $20. It was... more
Beer! Beer! As far as the eye can see! Friendly and helpful servers? Check. Amazing food? Half-check. DAS BIER? Mais oui! I'm not a huge beer person. I like ciders, but not sickeningly sweet ones. Our waitress steered me towards the Pear cider who's name I can't remember (although it sounded like 'pear' or maybe started with a 'p'). It was very tasty, a touch sweet, and served RIGHT cold. The... more
