Cool Grungey Place

I went on a first date here once. It was a cool place, good atmosphere and good service. You can sit wherever you want and there is seating upstairs too. It is pretty loud though and I had a hard time hearing my date. They play great music though so it was okay. Other than that, I had a good time, it is nice and casual and a good spot for a drink or two.

Betty's is a favourite haunt for George Brown students to grab a burger and watch whatever game happens to be on TV.

Loudish, $10 for a cup of beer. Fries were too hot. Crispy but airy and dry on the inside. Deep six dip is something to try though. Interesting balance in dip, guacamole is a slight too dominating in my opinion. Nice wall decor.

I only came for beers but my friend had a turkey "sandwich" meal. The place is pretty cozy but very loud and tight fitting which I personally don't like. I'll definitely try it again tho since it's close to my school.

The family photos and posters give Betty's a friendly, warm vibe. I like that the menus serve different types of foods rather than just your typical, greasy fried chicken wings. Servers were really friendly and courteous.

A preferred watering hole for locals as well as the students of the George Brown College, the Betty's comes across as a regular dive bar where you can sit down and indulge in beer drinking. Hence, the focus is on providing a casual setup where you can end up having a good time conversing with friends over a bottle of draft beer. The interior of the bar is cozy, however, it is the outdoor patio... more
