The people who own this business have the most unprofessional attitude and deplorable service I have encountered. It is amazing that they are still in business.
So my husband and I came in to bent nail to buy a sliding glass door. The employee (who apparently also happens to be the owner) showed us a sliding glass door and said "And this one even comes with a screen". So we bought the door. On the weekend we installed it and first thing we realized was there was no way to lock it, next thing was that the "included screen" didn't even fit the door!!! So tuesday (monday was a holiday) comes around and I call bent nail and I speak with a women who says she is the owner. So me and her discuss how the door doesnt lock and I had to point out that selling an exterior door that doesn't lock is false adversizment because technically its not in working order. If I can't lock my house, I can't leave my house. So she finally obliged and said my husband could come in and get the door lock. During the same conversation I also discussed with her the screen not fitting. She first offered me 35$ for it which I refused. She then offered me 60$ which i also refused because I had been online on the Home depot website and the screens I saw were all over 170$ so she asked what I would like and I told her I would like 100$ which she then agreed to pay me. She asked me to bring back the screen (which cost me gas for their mistake) and when I came she would give me 100$. SO i went into bent nail yesterday (thursday august 9th 2012) and instead of her being there it was the male employee. I told him I was there to return the door and he said "you're only getting 60 for it" I said no me and the owner had an agreed upon amount and he said "well too bad you're not getting 100 you're getting 60 wether you like it or not" I asked him to please call the owner and he raising his voice now said " I am the owner, you spoke with the other owner my wife" and I said well please call your wife then. The exact words out of his mouth were "Why dont you f@!k off" (and there was customers in the store while he is speaking with me like this) Now I'm mad. So I told him I wasnt leaving until he gave me the agreed upon amount and he literally started yelling at me telling me to take a valium cause i was a crazy b@!%h and I needed to get the f@!k outta his store and he wasnt giving me any money now. So anyways this went on for about 10 minutes with him screaming inches away from my face, a grown man, a business owner and this is how he is representing his company WHILE other customers are in the store. He was being so agressive and getting so physically close to me while he was screaming, not just yelling, screaming in my face, that I got a bit scared. So I took the 60$ he gave me and left with full intentions of making it public how I was treated at this store. So please don't shop here, business owners like that shouldn't own business's. Absolutely no moral value to what they say compared to what they actually do. And the agressive intimidation tactics are absolutely appalling.
