Only jazz place I know
For those looking for a live jazz performance in town, I can't recommend anywhere better.
Funky place
This is a cool place that I never knew existed. In the basement of the Piq Niq you can watch a live jazz show here, in a dark room with not too many other people around. Very private.
THE jazz club in Calgary
Went here for a martini and a live jazz show and I was SO impressed. Nice basement location, enter from the alley, nice and dark and has the perfect mood. Martinis were made very well (they know what "very dry" means unlike most restaurants that get it backwards). Very recommended, check their website for schedule of shows.

Jazz and Wine
February 27, 2011Went for a jazz concert, no reservations but showed up early and there were plenty of empty seats. Eclectic crowd, good place to have a bottle of wine while listening to some good live jazz.

Put your cool on and head down (literally) to this hip spot perched in the basement underneath the Piq Niq Café.
