Find this club in the triple-tiered enterprise that occupies a converted mansion at the thumping heart of the Grande-Allée scene. It includes a surprisingly good restaurant ( Voo Doo Grill ), a couple of bars, and music that tilts heavily toward Latin. In winter, it has been known to set up a sidewalk-level "Icecothèque" with a bar made completely of ice, ice sculptures, and roaring music.... more

This is a bar complex named after the former prime minister, Maurice Duplessis. The crowd is young, the atmosphere racy, provocative, and sexually charged.

Maurice Duplessis ruled Quebec with an iron fist throughout the 1950s, one can only imagine what he would think of this pulsating nightclub named, sarcastically, in his honor. With an audio-visual assault occurring throughout, the club offers several themed rooms, the Oriental Sake Bar, the VIP cigar lounge, the Library and the enormous main dance floor. Theme nights include Archie Night, held... more

The popular Chez Maurice occupies a converted three-story mansion. On Friday nights, be prepared to shake your booty at their Disco Fever dance party. Other nights, you can just dance the night away to Latin, blues and house music selections – maybe even a little Chinese shadow dancing for a more exotic evening twist. Dress to impress, but make sure what you wear is great for dancing. In the... more
