Bar mythique de la rue mont-royal avec une foule bigarrée et un tres bon choix de drink. Essayer le "béton", ca vaut la peine...
Le service est des plus agréables !
Leurs martinis au litchi sont succulents !
Every town has its favorite local watering hole. This is it for many a Plateau graphic artist, musician and writer who stop in for a pint after a hard day’s work to complain that they aren’t rich and famous yet. The rich and famous stop in to complain about being rich and famous. If the ostrich heads on the walls could speak they’d say, “Ah, shut up! You’re at the best joint around. Have a... plus
This is a great bar in the Plateau with a cosy and relaxed ambiance. They have an extensive list of beers as well as the usual drinks for bars (wine, cocktails, etc). I also found the prices very reasonable given the area. They do have some finger food but I didn't try any so I don't have any comments on that front.
My one complaint is that the music is too loud. We were forced to scream at...

Few things:
--One of the only places in the St. Denis area that was packed on a cold Sunday night.
--The ostriches on the wall are kinda creepy, in the very best way possible!

--Try the mojito, it's yum.
Really cool bar in Montreal. This was a convenient day-stop for a fresh pilsner. We loved the ostriches on the wall, and asked the bartender what the story was. Returned at night to a huge crowd, apparently we're not...

The décor is thoroughly unique; it's sort of a "Prague café" theme accentuated by ostrich heads poking out of the walls, high ceilings and excellent music (live during the days, DJs every night). Youngish journalists and other left-of-center professionals enjoy very reasonably priced microbrews (including... plus
Tavern Chic For anyone who knows a thing or two about Montreal's trendy Plateau Mont-Royal district, the name Bily Kun probably rings a few bells. A favourite neighbourhood hangout for local area residents, as well as partiers from across the city looking for a more chilled out alternative to all the cheesy dance clubs that downtown Montreal has become famous for, Bily Kun is the perfect... plus
