Nice rebranding of this classic Halifax hotel. This is purely commentary on the F&B department which I've had for several catered events as well as dining in for Holiday brunches / having a drink in the lounge. Staff friendly, decor cozy- but understand they're doing design renos in the new year- so should be interesting.Important to note: this is one of the only places really on Quinpool to go... more

I was checked into a room where it obvious someone had been smoking the room. They quickly remedied the problem and gave me a suite on the 14th floor with additional service; chocolates, water, wireless (opposed to cable).I found the doorman to be wish-washy and all over the place. I'd ask for a taxi and he'd walk away, apparently to do so, but was never sure. A taxi did eventually come but... more
