If you are serious about gymnastics, go Kalev. We switched some time ago. Can suggest the following:
1. Aspirals highest levels (provincial) is Kalev’s lowest (Kalev is internationally known club with world name, Aspirals known to local Russian/Jewish community, that’s it).
2. In Aspirals you get a chance to be number one in Ontario, in Kalev you have a chance to be a world Olympic champion.
3. Having 1 and 2 in mind, Kalev is absolutely cheaper to be in than Aspirals (in Aspirals you will be paying for every single breath Sima decides to take, not so in Kalev!)
4. You get involved much more in your child’s learning process and results speak for themselves, Aspirals – recreation, Kalev – sport, but they both call it rhythmic gymnastics
5. In Kalev every one coach is highly motivated & highly skilled, and has internationally known names. Aspirals have only one strong coach (Lidia). Rests are mid-level at best. Half of coaches – girls who still in school. Aspirals coaches are underpaid and kept in just because they don’t speak good English or waiting for their status yet or both or don’t have guts to leave because they weak.
6. In Kalev your child will be performing on the same stage with golden medalists from all over the world, in Aspirals with local girls that made inhumane effort to detach from TV set.
7. Sima (Aspirals) get rude and inconsiderate very easily, almost every time we had this unpleasant feeling of so called “soviet” service – when you are not served and you are the one to blame
Aspirals Athletics offers these services: baby clothing, children clothing.
