Apparently NOT "All-You-Can-Eat"

Apparently the "All-You-Can-Eat" Korean BBQ is NOT "All-You-Can-Eat."

I was with a party of six, and we had a reservation for Monday at 12pm. There weren't that many people there yet, and we were seated at a table with one grill.

All six of us were having the All-You-Can-Eat Korean BBQ, so the server brought us a round of the five kinds of meat they had that day: two pork (one sliced thin, and the other sliced thick), one chicken, and two beef (bulgogi and kalbi). We finished that, and so we ordered another round of the five meats. We finished that, and then we asked the server for two orders of kalbi, which she gave to us.

A little while later, after we'd been at the restaurant for slightly over an hour, the server came by and said it was "last call."

HUH? It was only a little after 1pm, and new customers were coming in, so it wasn't like the kitchen was closing down at 1pm. In fact, the server continued to bring meats to other tables. Could there been a time limit of one hour? I didn't see that written anywhere--the meal is advertised as "All-You-Can-Eat." And if it really were the case that there's a time limit, my table would be severely disadvantaged with six people to one grill--most of the other tables were two or three people to a grill. You can only cook so much in an hour on one grill to feed six people.

The only conclusion I can draw is that it's "All-You-Can-Eat" until you eat too much. Or that it's "All-You-Can-Eat" until you ask for two orders of kalbi.

In any case, it's blatant false advertising.
