We are a Downtown waterfront restaurant with a window-wrapped dining room & bar for sweeping harbourfront views of Burrard inlet, visiting cruise ships, and the North Shore skyline. It is a big bustling place adorned with luminous murals. We’re within walking distance to Waterfront Centre Hotel, Pan Pacific Hotel, Canada Place, Trade & Exhibition Centre, IMAX Theatre & Cruise Ship Terminals and... more

Great Food and Service

I visited Aqua Riva to see what all the hype was about. I've read some mixed reviews about I had to find out for myself. The atmosphere of Aqua Riva is beautiful. It has a very romantic setting, overlooking the water at night. The table settings are elegant, with detailed cutlery and dinnerware. The servers are dressed decently although a little bit on the bland side. They are, however, very attentive and friendly. The dinner menu has your usual fare of salads, seafood, pasta and meat choices. The menu isn't very extensive, but they do prepare your dinner very well. The portion size isn't large, but the presentation is superb. The pricing is fair for a restaurant of this calibre and I was not shocked at the pricing at all. I can say I was not disappointed at all when I visited Aqua Riva and I would do so again. Some things to keep in mind would be to make reservations, be very well dressed and be on time for your party.

Sweeping sightlines wow at this waterfront room. The kitchen makes ample use of its signature wood oven. Decent appetizers include ahi tuna and scallop sashimi ($14.50) and bison carpaccio ($15.50). Mains get points for experimentation: the sablefish comes in an orange star-anise vinaigrette ($31.50). A sesame barbecued rack of lamb ($37.50) makes us cheer. The extensive wine list has strong... more

Good location, near the Sea Bus, so we don't have to take a car from North Vancouver. The food was well prepared, presentation was pleasing.
Very sad day when this restaurant closed 6/30/2011!

This popular place features an impressive curved bar, a huge wall mural and the occasional Hollywood celebrity appearance. A massive wood-burning grill adds distinct flavour to seafood and meat dishes, so sample any of the grilled fare for a treat. Try the Wood Grilled Pacific Salmon with a roast sweet pepper coulis and fresh herb risotto. Dishes for sharing are also available, like the Trio of... more
