A Kitsilano favorite, Annapurna's small dining room is hung with dozens of white, red, yellow, and orange rice-paper lamps that emanate a soft, warm glow. The menu is all vegetarian, but with the amazing combinations of Indian spices, herbs, and local vegetables, the dishes are rich and satisfying. Appetizers include samosas, pakoras, and lentil dumplings soaked in tangy yogurt with chutney.... more

Annapurna has been gracing the corner of Burrard and Fourth for the past 17 years, but seems like it pre-dates Bob Geldof and nickel bags. Even by looking at the menu - it was not authentic... more

very disappointing

Normally Annapurna is a busy spot. Tonight it was empty and I see why. The service was almost non-existant, the food took forever to be served and when it arrived all dishes were cold. The waiter acted as if it was an inconvenience to reheat it. This is not the Annapurna of old. Save the hassle and find another vegetarian... more
