With its stark white interiors and twinkling Christmas lights, Also feels a little like Palm Springs in the middle of Richmond. The food is decidedly less tacky. A generous portion of deeply flavored lobster bisque is poured from a silver teapot, and tobiko roe has a pleasant briny snap. Nice ambiance, food is wonderful! We like the portobello and the lobster bisque. They are very different. For entree, I have the rack of lamb and my girl friend has the duck confit, both are very good, and the protion is good. Waitress is friendly and the famale jazz singer is great. Must try the green tea creme brulee.
Some people don't like the food. It is a true fusion restaurant with a good selection of East meets West cuisine. I've been several times and although service can be slow when they get busy, their dishes are truly unique. Try it at least once.
