Great Spot to visit

Great view of Halifax, the ocean and harbor. Can walk or bike along the ocean paths, great views in many spots. A good little playground for little kids, nice park with well situated benches. Simply a ferry landing and Sat. Farmer's market

I live in Dartmouth and if a tourist needed some fresh food he might go there or take the ferry to Halifax and enjoy the much larger Farmer's market along the waterfront.On a few occasions there might be an ARTISTIC event Cruise Ships dock on the Halifax side.

Take the ferry across to Dartmouth for a day and check out the other side of the harbor. Alderney Landing is the site of the World Peace Pavilion, a theater, art gallery, events facility, ferry terminal and outdoor concerts. On Saturday mornings there is a Farmers Market and on Sundays you will find craftspeople selling their wares. The market open hours vary. Check the web site for details.
