This was my first visit to this spa. I had a gift for a full day and got the works. Services were fantastic and the girls who worked on me were very friendly and did a great job. The lunch I had was amazing. I was slightly cold in the lunch room but when I asked if it could be slightly warmer, Cathy turned up the heat for me AND brought me a blanket leaving me toasty warm. I found this spa warm and cozy, friendly and not all tense or snobbish. Very very nice and I will most definitely be back, even without a gift certificate!

Just wanted to say that I LOVE this place. Homey, sweet people, cozy and fantastic service each and every time. It never matters what I have, I always leave with smiles and happy feet!
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE
Do not EVER go to this spa! A friend of mine got an infection on her toe here after she had a pedicure. When she called the owner to ask what she should do about it... the owner flipped! She got all defensive about it, and told my friend that she should throw out the coupon post card she was sent in the mail. Not only that, but she hung up the phone on her.
The worst part about it, is that my husband had bought me a 5 hour afternoon at the spa for Christmas, and my friend came up from Calgary to spend the afternoon at the spa with me. After having to listen to the girls at the front desk gossip while we had our pedicures and massages (supposed to be relaxing?), and dealing with them using a roasting pan to soak our feet in for the pedicure.... we didn't say anything to the owner about THAT!
The only enjoyable parts of our stay were the amazing massage therapist they have employed there (but beware of having to listen to gossip), and the wonderful food provided by the coast hotel. Beware of the owner becoming defensive with any suggestions you might have!

I love this spa!
November 03, 2010This spa is absolutely fabulous. My mother and I go here twice a year for a day package - an absolutely incredible price for hours worth of fantastic relaxation. Their treatments are all wonderful, we have never had any problems and the owner is so sweet and friendly. I would agree the rooms could use a little more soundproofing, but I only occasionally notice the sound. Wonderful place!!

Disappointing
September 06, 2010The staff at Ahava Spa is very inconsiderate of their clients. I went with a friend for a 90min massage and the entire time the workers were VERY LOUD. I am not exagerating when I say that the whole 90min consisted of laughter and gossiping. The lady who massaged me actually hurt me and when I let her know, she continued as if I had said nothing! I asked her if she was new and she assured me... more
