Although the restaurant itself is a little unappealing in the heart of Gastown, don?t be mistaken. You can find authentic East and North African food at its best at Afro Canadian Restaurant! Excellent dishes include the spicy meats and vegetable stews topped with fluffy injera bread. Other delicious plates are the tender lamb with Moroccan couscous, Egyptian fava bean ful, and curried goat.... more

Casual Edgy Joint

We had the injera (Ethiopian bread) with the 3 meats for two. Generous portions and good but not great. Waiter was very casual. We sat ourselves in whatever seat and grabbed our menus. The customers seemed like neighborhood friends and the booth seats were ripped. Kinda felt out of place.. very casual. Would recommend for a fast bite to eat but not a place to sit and enjoy your evening.
