My husband and I, always in a search for good Mexican food, came across Acajutla last evening. When we first entered the restaurant, it has a warm atmosphere, beautiful, bright colors, very clean. Lots of sombreros and wraps and flags.

Very slow service

Extremely slow service - to the point that you wonder what is happening. Then the food arrives and it is tiny portions. You dare not order more, since you don't want to wait another HOUR for the food to arrive. Definitely not value for money... more

The food seemed really authentic, although I'm not certain what authentic central american/mexican food tastes like... definitely nothing like taco bell though, which, in my opinion is good. I went there with no real idea of what to expect. It was pretty dead but the service was wonderful... casual and friendly. The pricing was reasonable too.
